Restaurant Style Paneer Tikka Masala | Cottage Cheese In A Spicy Gravy | Food Celebrations<br /><br />A very popular Indian dish Paneer Tikka Masala is an alternative for chicken tikka masala for vegetarians. It’s really fun recreating restaurant style dishes at home and this dish is always a winner for its simplicity and amazing taste.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />For the marinade<br />Yogurt 2 Tbsp<br />Chickpea flour / Besan 2 Tbsp<br />Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp<br />Garam masala / All spice 1 tsp<br />Salt to taste<br />Chat masala 1 tsp<br />Cumin 1/2 tsp<br />Cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp<br />Pepper 1/2 tsp<br />Kasoori methi 1 tsp<br />Lemon juice 1 tbsp<br />Cottage cheese / Paneer 500 g<br />1 diced green bell pepper / capsicum<br />1 diced onion<br />Oil 2 tbsp<br /><br />For the Gravy<br />Oil 2 tbsp<br />2 chopped onions<br />Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp<br />2 tomatoes puree<br />Red chilli powder / paprika 1 tsp<br />Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp<br />Coriander powder 1 tsp<br />Cumin 1/2 tsp<br />Salt to taste<br />Ground cashew nuts 1 tbsp<br />Sugar 1 tsp<br />Garam masala 1/2 tsp<br />Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp<br />Coriander leaves for garnishing<br /><br />Method:<br />Marinate the cottage cheese with the spices. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. Roast the marinade in 2 tbsp oil. Prepare the gravy by adding the onions, ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Then add the spices, cashew nuts and the roasted cottage cheese. Let to simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.<br />
